Job Title: Field Engineer – Survey+QAQC
Reports to: Project Engineer Job Location: North Haiwee Dam – Olancha CA

Primary Purpose:
Must be able to work independently and organized to handle the assigned work activities of the Project. He/ She will provide technical support to the Project Engineer, Project Manager, department head, and other staff members as required. He / She will also oversee construction, material tracking, quality control of cement grout, and daily as-built work in AutoCAD. This position works on projects of controlled complexity in a support role.The majority of work time is spent in the field and field office. Full-time positions- Night/Day shift work. No remote work. Some intercity travel may be required.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Civil engineering, or related field of study
Additional qualifications and certifications in relevant skills, such as management and scheduling
control will be a plus.
Special Knowledge, Technical /Skills:
Computer proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office Suite software (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power
Point, MS Project) and other applicable software programs
Demonstrate flexibility and is adaptable to change
General knowledge of office protocol, routines, and procedures.
Ability to read and comprehend plans and specifications
Ability to use Survey equipment and control points check
Strong communication skills
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to meet deadlines
Self-motivated and proactive.

Experience:
Preferred minimum 1- 2 yearsexperience.
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Prepare correspondence, forms,daily reports, and presentations for the Project Manager as
required.
2. Oversee and maintain control of project documentation.
3. Answer questions/ prepare reports regarding the scope and timing of the project.
4. Maintain/update project records and coordinate with the Project engineer on a day-to-day basis
5. Assist the project manager/superintendent in controlling the quality of the grout in batch plant, Aa-built drawing in AutoCAD, and daily report creation of running the construction site
6. Measure the Specific gravity and Temperatures of cement grout in a batch plantwhen necessary
7. Prepare and submit Project Data Books
8. Coordinate with Project Leads and work with staff.
9. Participate in daily safety meetings.
10. Participate in Site progress meetings.
11. Maintaining accurate, quality, and completed documentation as identified in the responsibilities
above.
12. Assist the project team with site safety documentation and coordination.
13. Assist with Site Survey when required.
14. Maintain confidentiality of information.
15. Assist the project team with the day-to-day opening and closeout of the project.
16. Assist the project engineer with assigned tasks.
Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment, including personal computers and peripherals. Survey and Lab Equipment.
Posture: Prolonged sitting; occasional climbing, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting.
Motion: Repetitive hand motions, including frequent keyboarding, mouseuse,and occasional reaching. Site walks. Occasional soil cement sample preparation and related tasks.
Lifting: Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 25 pounds).
Environment: May work prolonged or irregular hours; occasionally. May be exposed to extremes of heat and cold and certain unsafe environments; occasionally works near moving heavy machinery. Specific vision abilities include close vision and color vision (please advise if you are color blind). The employee must also inspect the project frequently and may be exposed to ongoing construction and weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment may range from moderate to loud.
