Position overview: Assists in completing daily accounting tasks and supports the accounting team with special projects. Communicate clearly, use business level software platforms and have a good understanding of basic accounting

knowledge.

Responsibilities:

Daily/weekly cash receipt postings

Reconciliations for banking and receivables

Apply customer payments to customer accounts

Report past due accounts

Record inter-company cash transfers

Support the month-end close process

Wire transfers for vendor payments

Calculate and invoice allocated costs

Invoice for services

Maintain/reconcile accruals and prepaids

Record monthly depreciation

Maintain fixed asset records for reporting to department directors and insurance reporting

Assist with property tax returns

Assist with account reconciliation

Cross train with to provide back-up

Prepare supporting analysis and research on various accounts

Familiarity with GAAP

Strong tech and computer skills

Required:

Associates degree or greater in accounting (or other business-related academic program) strongly

preferred, or practical work experience sufficient to meet the requirements of an accounting-specific

position as described above.

Understanding of fundamental bookkeeping/accounting principles Two or more years processing

accounting transactions. Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

Experience using Oracle NetSuite is ideal.

Computer skills and experience, including Microsoft Office applications (emphasis on Excel)

Drug screen and background check required
