Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or 2 years of equivalent work experience to be determined by Hiring Manager
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in HR setting.
  • Strong understanding of all state and federal requirements, regulations, policies, laws, etc. as it relates to this role
  • High level interpersonal skills both oral and written; may be used to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation
  • Proficiency in or knowledge of using a variety of computer software applications and standard office equipment
  • Ability to utilize personal vehicle as needed to properly perform job duties; must have valid driver's license and insurance
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time, bend repeatedly, walk properties, or perform inspections, climb stairs, and/or lift to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions such as heat, rain, or wind
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of personnel administration.
  • Experience administering employee benefits, payroll, and recruiting.
  • Experience with Paylocity, Payroll and HR Management and other HRIS systems.
  • Bilingual desirable.
  • PHR desirable.
  • Experience implementing strategies and systems for talent management, compensation and benefits, and HR technology
  • Strong business acumen
  • Working knowledge of labor and employment laws and other compliance issues
  • Ability to listen and probe to understand underlying needs and/or root cause of an issue
  • Ability to provide thoughtful, progressive, and strategic guidance
  • Expertise in project management, and process improvement
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills
  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate and solve practical problems
  • Ability to collaborate with leadership to achieve desired organizational outcomes
  • Outstanding judgment, sensitivity, and high discretion
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Paylocity
  • Must have a valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and proof of auto insurance.
  • Must be able to travel to satellite office locations as needed.
  • Must be able to carry and lift items weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Must be able to speak clearly in small group settings.
  • This position will require sitting for extended periods of time, walking, standing, bending, and walking, and using fine motor skills, such as finger dexterity for typing and using small hand tools.
  • This position could be exposed to frequent phone conversations and requires average to above-average visual acuity and hearing.
  • Must be available to travel to other office locations as needed

Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and evaluate an HR and Talent Management Strategy to achieve the organization's vision, mission, and goals, and always professional
  • Regularly engage in direct communication with employees
  • Oversee recruitment efforts to ensure that the organization is effectively and efficiently sourcing and selecting the right candidates
  • Develop and assist with driving talent management strategies to ensure effective staffing alignment with the needs of the business
  • Assist with creation of systems to attract talent, identify critical talent needs, develop core competencies and corresponding development opportunities, and engage leadership in succession planning
  • Identify ways to increase staff retention and productivity, including strategies to enhance employee engagement, leadership and staff development, regular feedback and coaching, career pathing, and promoting a coherent organizational culture that positions the company as an 'employer of choice'
  • Lead the effective and efficient administration of the performance management process, making sure that the organization's managers are equipped to engage in constructive and ongoing feedback and coaching, collaborate effectively when co-managing staff, and encourage staff to actively participate in identifying and addressing performance gaps
  • Mitigate legal risk to the organization through proactive tracking of training and education, clear systems, and processes for managing conflicts with and between employees
  • Manage and investigate complaints of harassment/discrimination and other unjust practice allegations with President
  • Maintain current knowledge and application of all relevant laws and regulations at the local, state, and national level relating to employment practices and people management, ensuring organizational compliance. This includes educating and advising managers and senior leaders on HR-related legal and regulatory matters and ensuring HR programs, practices, and policies are aligned
  • Ensure that employee files and records are properly and securely maintained
  • Complete EEO-1, 1-9, OSHA and other various reporting required on a federal or state level to maintain compliance
  • Complete best practices compliant with current industry practices
  • Attend scheduled corporate management meetings
  • Onboard and participate in limited training activities with new hires
  • Implement and utilize full functionality of Paylocity system and offerings
