Plans, directs, manages, coordinates, and monitors activities and operation related to the financial management of the hospital, including management of staff and assigned projects.

Provides direction and support for the financial management of the organization.

Ensures financial records are maintained.

Develops and implements strategic goals and objectives.

Develops and maintains a budgetary control program and cash forecasts, coordinating the accumulation, analysis, and interpretation of financial and statistical data.

Oversees reimbursement, financial planning, accounting, and payroll functions.

Assists the CFO in the formation and/or modification of Hospital financial plans and policies.

Coordinates, guides, and assists in the preparation of annual and monthly budgets to provide management with an operating plan and the means for monitoring and controlling costs and income.

Prepares short-range and long-range forecasts of cash flow and capital needs in collaboration with Hospital Administration to ensure availability of funds as needed and/or proper investments of excess cash.

Safeguards and maintains control of all cash and other assets of the Hospital, including operating, special purpose, and endowment funds, plant and property.

Coordinates all activities related to Medicare, Medicaid, Vocational Rehabilitation, Blue Cross, and other reimbursers.

In compliance with applicable regulations, directs data collection, storage, analysis, and operational and statistical reporting activities for management and regulatory agencies.

Interprets applicable regulations and establishes filing and auditing procedures.

Assigns responsibility for report preparation and generation and reviews completed reports.

Responsible for maintaining financial records.

Performs related responsibilities as required.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Ten years of related experience which includes supervisory experience.

Hospital based positions require three years of hospital or healthcare financial experience and experience with managed care.
