AUTO TECHNICIAN/BODYMAN NEEDED! HIRING IMMEDIATELY

Auto Repair & Body shop located in LIC, Queens, specializing in German vehicles is looking for an Automotive Technician/Bodyman to join our team!

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy

Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicles including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning, body repairs; in a timely manner

Someone with bodywork knowledge, and can provide rough estimates on the spot.

Plan repair procedures using charts, wiring diagrams, manuals, and experience

Communicate with Parts Specialist and Service Advisor regularly

Road test vehicle when required

Perform quality control of all vehicles prior to returning the vehicle to the customer, as well as ensuring customers vehicle is kept clean

Ensures that work space is kept clean

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED:

Automotive and engine repair experience required, including diesel engines

Bodywork on all makes and models.

3+ years experience as an Automotive Technician/Body Worker

MUST have own tools. We do not share tools. Please have a fully equipped toolbox.

Diagnostic ability on wide range of makes and models

Good communicator

Troubleshooting skills

Commitment to quality

Hold a driver’s license

Must read, interpret and transcribe data in order to maintain accurate records

Perform routine maintenance and other tasks, when needed.

May lift very heavy objects, with some assistance.

Good hand-eye coordination
