Installer / Upfitter For Emergency Vehicle Installation Shop

RIM EVS PUBLIC SAFETY is looking for candidates that want to work in a hands-on environment and have great attention to detail to join our team in the role as a Emergency Vehicle Upfitter Installer Technician. In this role, you will transform new factory stock vehicles into highly equipped specialized emergency vehicles.

INSTALLER / UPFITTER POSITION:

As an Emergency Vehicle Installer your primary responsibilities are installing, repairing, testing, and removing 12-volt law enforcement vehicle equipment, including, but not limited light bars, flashers, sirens, video cameras, laptops, printers, consoles, transport partitions, radios, speakers, antennas, routers, and more. For this position automotive or marine 12v experience is a plus.

Minimum of 2+ years of current experience is desired

Knowledge of vehicle wiring

Able to identify electrical circuits

Experience with installation of emergency lighting desired, but not required

Able to communicate well with others

Able to work on and see small objects

Must be able to lift & carry 50+ lbs

Be able to maneuver in confined spaces of vehicles

Emergency Vehicle Technician (EVT) Certification is desired, but not required

Have transportation and a valid drivers license

Pass criminal background check

Positions are Full Time - Long Term

Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5pm (no weekends or holidays)
