Design Program Manager II Bellevue, WA (Remote until further notice) Contract Length: 2 months with high potential to extend or convert Job Description: As a Design Program Manager II you will work collaboratively with our design program management team, design, product and engineering teams. You are comfortable working on design projects ranging from Blue Sky thinking to product definition. You will help our designers work within an Agile framework as a shared resource across multiple scrum teams. Improve existing processes and explore new ways for design to work. Your day to day will consist of various design related activities: Work closely with Design Leadership on process, communications, operations, and management Collaborate on special projects with other Design Program Managers Manage other Design team members Gathering project requirements/stories Act as a scrum master for design team by conducting standard sprint ceremonies Act as liaison between design team and 3rd party design and strategic agencies Coordinating deliverables and managing design backlogs Identifying and mitigating delivery risks Maintain transparency between design, our cross-functional partners and 3rd party agencies Key Responsibilities: Actively leads the design team in partnership with the Design Lead and is recognized by stakeholders as UED's single Point-of-Contact. Acts as scrum master for UED team backlog: attends release planning, runs standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies, as required. Tracks all major project milestones and deliverables. Ensures that design sprint plans meet broader timelines for any dependencies with our technology organization and business partners. Oversees design resource allocation, ensuring design resources are not over or under allocated. Identifies project risks and formulates and implements risk mitigation techniques to minimize issues. Demonstrates the ability to handle project ambiguity and lead delivery teams to identify creative solutions. Schedules and manages team meetings and communicates assignments to ensure timely delivery, while also ensuring meetings are efficient and minimized Supports the design team's implementation of standards and design guidelines Prepares management reporting, including status, project health and financials Ensures all applicable reviews and sign-offs are in place Creates partnerships with Product and Technology organizations, including 3rd party vendors, to drive end-to-end execution Job Requirements: 5+ years of applicable industry experience, preferably in project and program management Excellent communications & interpersonal skills Experience managing agency vendors Agile experience desired. SCRUM master certification is a plus. User Experience background is highly desired, but not required. eCommerce experience is a BIG plus.
