Description Overview: We are seeking a skilled Systems Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will evaluate and implement new software and hardware products into our infrastructure, design Business Continuity Planning (BCP) strategies, and engineer and test new technology solutions. The Systems Engineer will also develop and follow corrective steps for problem resolution and outage situations, creating procedures to be passed onto support technicians. This role involves recommending solutions for business-driven requirements and applying specialized knowledge in server, workstation, and application infrastructure technologies to recommend enterprise solutions. Key Responsibilities: Evaluate and implement new software and hardware products into the existing infrastructure. Design and develop Business Continuity Planning (BCP) strategies. Engineer and test new technology solutions to enhance infrastructure performance. Develop procedures for problem resolution and outages, and provide documentation for support technicians. Recommend and implement solutions for business-driven requirements using expertise in server, workstation, and application infrastructure technologies. Act as a project manager for medium to large-scale infrastructure projects. Provide architecture, design, and engineering support for level 1 infrastructure servers and services, including directory, application permissions, logon/logoff services, and messaging. Lead and mentor less experienced Systems Engineers. Requirements Qualifications: B.S. in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), or a related field preferred. Minimum of 3 years of experience in systems engineering, with a focus on large enterprise environments. Technical or detail oriented certifications in relevant fields are a plus. Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy and minimal supervision. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions. Excellent decision-making skills and judgment. Experience with client-server systems and a deep understanding of technology products used within the organization. Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to infrastructure technologies. Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with vendors, peers, managers, other technology staff, and business clients.
