Voith U.S. Inc. seeks a Field Service Expert to supervise the installation of Voith stock preparation equipment in the Pulp and Paper Industry and support maintenance and services activities in this area. Perform equipment quality inspections in the field to ensure good runnability and highest efficiency of the Voith equipment. Provide customized customer training on preventive maintenance and repair tasks and travel to customer sites. Document installation or service job details and communicate through technical reports, including parts recommendations and all necessary follow up activities. Ensure a safe work environment in the field during work execution and plan field work based on available time schedules and determine required resources and tools. Prepare field work by reviewing technical drawings and engineering documentation. Prepare kick off and exit meetings with customers, generate technical field service and installation reports including detail information about recommended spare and wear parts, and prepare complete time and expense reports. Lead third party installation work ensuring quality assembly. Support customer's troubleshooting, follow up action list and support final acceptance test by the customer, and train customer teams for maintenance routines/operations. Recommend and oversee the maintenance of stock preparation equipment's, as well as support estimating time and resources for service quotations. Conduct or participate in meetings with managers, co-workers, and customers. Handle in-house equipment's assembly and comply with all company policies and procedures. Telecommuting permitted. Approximately 60% domestic travel and 10% international travel to customer sites required. Work to be performed from company locations, headquartered in York, PA, and at various unanticipated client locations primarily in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Missouri.Job Requirements:Requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Paper Technology or related field and 8 years of pulp and paper mill service or mill maintenance experience. Must have experience with: Mechanical components and mechanical systems; Stock preparation equipment's assembly and commissioning; Stock preparation equipment's maintenance and troubleshooting; Stock preparation equipment's measurements and control; Stock preparation equipment's in-house repairs; Disk filter, Drum pulper, dispersion system; Technical drawing and P&I interpretation; Remote support by video and phone tools; SAP skills to review drawings and part information; and Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and Teams. Approximately 60% domestic travel and 10% international travel to customer sites required. Work to be performed from company locations, headquartered in York, PA, and at various unanticipated client locations primarily in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Missouri.
