Bagel Shop in Yonkers Needs Counter Clerks (FULL-TIME/PART-TIME)

Our family run bagel shop is in need of counter clerks to take and help prepare food orders. The position is fast-paced and requires strong attention to detail and listening skills. We require employees to have a strong grasp of the English language, being able to read, write, and speak it fluently. Some expected duties, but not all, include:

- Taking customer orders and preparing them in tandem with grill chefs

- Upselling product and answering questions regarding the menu

- Operating a register till and calculating total costs of orders

- Operating card reader systems and ensuring accurate charges

The pay starts at $15/hr, tips will be included as an addition once training/orientation is complete (normally 2 weeks). The shop is open from 4:30AM - 5:30PM; please provide your availability/desired hours accordingly. All applicants are required to appear for an in-person interview before receiving employment.
