Line Cook at the NEW Cafe Mambo Paia

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in meal preparation and a passion for creating delicious dishes in a restaurant setting. The position is for our small evening service that we will be expanding into a full dinner in the coming months, as well as day shifts for our breakfast/lunch menu.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and cook menu items in compliance with established recipes and standards

- Assist with menu planning and development

- Ensure food preparation meets quality standards

- Collaborate with the culinary team to provide exceptional dining experiences

- Maintain a clean and organized work environment

- Help with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a Line Cook or relevant culinary position

- Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures

- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

- Culinary degree or certification is a plus

- Experience in fine dining or restaurant settings preferred

- Ability to work well with knives and kitchen tools

- Understanding of dietary department operations is beneficial

Job Type: Full-time or Part-Time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour depending on experience and positon

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
