Lathe Machinist

We are looking for a senior NC and manual Lathe machinist. This role will play a vital part in operations to ensure quality production performance dedicated to meeting the goals of the aerospace, defense, space transportation, medical and HVAC customers. We are a low quantity and high change over shop.

This individual will be a valuable part of our team. They must employ a high degree of workmanship and precision in performing work according to standards, and specifications. Have experience in machining to +/- .001" tolerance, turning threads (ISO metric and US standard), knurling, and eccentrics to name a few. Machinist must be able to set tools in machine properly, accurately measure dimensions, read blueprints, operate machinery, and work in a team environment.

Duties/Responsibilities

· Quality focused and detail oriented

· Responsible for keeping equipment and work area clean and orderly

· Must be able to stand for majority of the shift

Required Skills/Abilities

· Experienced in ability to set-up and in operating a Trak lathe and manual lathe

· Strong knowledge of application of geometric tolerances, blueprints, and specifications

· Strong attention to detail

· Ability to fill out required paperwork correctly

· Expert skill in precision measuring equipment

· Proficient ability to read blueprints, measure dimensions, and check accuracy supporting aerospace industry

Education/Experience

· 3-5 years machining experience

· High School diploma

· US Work Authorization
