Front desk/Patient coordinator
Beaverton Eye Health is looking to hire a patient coordinator/optician.
Training will be available, based on the candidate's needs.
The position is for 24-28 h a week.
The ideal candidate should be and able to be:
- energetic, motivated for success, self-starter, collaborate well with the other members of our office
- Sales experience and aptitude is a plus
- excellent customer service
The job duties are, but not limited to:
- checking the patients in, and out, collecting the co-payments at the end of the exams
- making the paperwork ready for the appointments,
- scanning any paper pertinent information in the patients accounts
- answering the phone, calling/texting/emailing back the patients,
- checking emails,
- schedule appointments, checking patients benefits with the insurances, filling patients information/ demographics in EMR
-knowing/learning to use a scanner, fax machine
- learning about contact lenses, giving CLS quotes, selling CLs,
- computer use knowledge for performing various tasks related to Electronic Medical Records (training available), OfficeMate/Crystal PM experience
- checking and periodically refill the paper, soap, etc
- picking up the mail
- excited about learning new things related with the patients eye care, to have, or interested to obtain, to grow as an optician /professional certifications
- on the job training will be available as needed for very motivated employees
- billing/learning to bill insurances for the eye exams and glasses related orders
- professional advancement in the field as an optician or ophthalmic technician.
