Guadalupe Hardware Company is a 3rd generation family-owned business servicing the agricultural community and the everyday handyman since 1954. We believe that customer service is our number one priority.
We are looking for a talented bilingual person to join our team. This person will play a key role for maintaining our quality customer service, assisting customers with product and Ag industrial parts to complete customer transactions both charge account and cash sales. We are looking for a long-term employee that has experience and interest in the Agricultural community and local contractors. This team member will be expected to multi-task, work closely with our outside sales team and obtain strong communication with all coworkers. This position is best suited for a professional, smart multi-tasker that can handle a broad range of responsibility.
Requirements:
Bilingual (English Spanish), Two years or more of experience with agricultural, industrial or truck parts. Strong mechanical aptitude, ability to take accurate measurements. Valid CA driver's license. Comfortable with computer technology and ability to learn.
Sales experience not required.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Include the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for all key person functions in the operation of the store
Provide customer service by welcoming, locating product and problem solving to their needs - both in store and via phone calls.
Responsible for maintaining and safeguarding all company and store assets. Maintain the retail sales floor, yard and displays to meet store cleanliness standards
Support stores inventory manager with receiving of products and merchandise
Responsible for inventory replenishment and prompt receiving of all inventory as well as record keeping. Receive, unpack and check goods received against packing slips or invoices; prices goods with correct margins.
Ensures prompt and consistent opening and closing of the store based on store's hours of operation - as needed
Accurately record all sales/customer transactions that occur each day at cash register, follow prescribed cash, credit and check processing procedures
Identify and satisfy customer needs regarding merchandise, parts and product orders. Load and unload customer orders.
Work as a GHC team with all employees, including leaders, owners, inside sales and outside sales. Pull product to fill outgoing will call orders
Maintain well-groomed appearance
Responsible to ensure compliance of all Company Policies, Programs, and Procedures Complete physical inventory upon request
Identify issues and improvement opportunities, communicate to and assist with resolution in a professional manner
Be adaptable and solution oriented, provide support and guidance to the team to resolve identified issues. Complete special projects as requested
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to lift 50 pounds frequently to load and unload customer orders.
Ability to stand and able to maintain significant activity levels for extended periods of time Ability to bend and twist, push and pull, stoop and kneel.
