Network Engineer

Network Engineer - Annapolis, MD - OnsiteJoin our team as the primary technical lead on projects that contain moderate to highly complex environments. T he work schedule is flexible with most core hours from 9-4, but you must be onsite 3 days/week. Your role will involve developing and implementing project plans within budgetary, schedule and resource constraints. You will capture, analyze, decompose and create requirements for systems, products and subsystems of moderate to high complexity. You will be expected to analyze and recommend contemporary and emerging technologies for deployment across the global network system architecture. Your work will help address emerging product and market needs, taking into consideration the wider business context, risks, opportunities and constraints. You will also devise technical product roadmaps and deliver cost efficiencies by migrating the product portfolio over time towards a common target architecture where appropriate. You will ensure that design and development work undertaken by others within the Engineering team aligns with the approved technical architecture for a given project/program. You will also author, review and maintain documentation during all phases of the system design life cycle as per documented processes and procedures.Skills & Qualifications

STEM degree required

Cloud Technologies and Processes

Design experience with AWS and Azure cloud infrastructure services

Experience with cloud tools and management systems such as: OpenStack, CloudStack, vCloud Automation Center, vCloud Director

Experience with management and maintaining WAN connections between multiple remote offices, Cloud presence (AWS, Azure), and several primary datacenter managed by several different owners.

Hands-on systems level understanding and an ability to learn and apply new concepts and technologies quickly
