Senior Revenue Accountant

As our Senior Revenue Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing and analyzing monthly and quarterly revenue financial and accounting information in accordance with GAAP and Company policies, performing general ledger account reconciliations, and preparing financial schedules for internal and external reporting, and performing SOX controls.Every day you will work closely with key stakeholders in Controllership, FP&A, Operations, internal and external audit in a fast-paced environment. To thrive in this role, you must have at least two years of accounting experience as you will be supporting the revenue team in complex revenue accounting matters. This requires being resourceful, having excellent technical skills in Excel and other accounting software, as well as improving upon and making processes more efficient. The Senior Revenue Accountant will report to the Manager of Revenue Accounting.Responsibilities:

Owns month-end and quarter-end close revenue activities such as preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, balance sheet fluctuation analysis, credit loss reserve analysis, SOX controls documentation, and financial statements footnote support.

Participates in reviewing customer contracts to determine proper revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606 and Company policies as needed.

Supports revenue team in complex revenue accounting matters, participates in technical accounting research and preparation of technical accounting memo.

Evaluates existing processes for improvement and provides solutions to increase efficiency and effectiveness of such processes. Implements solutions and necessary process changes as identified.

Works collaboratively on smaller elements of large, complex accounting projects. Leads smaller, less-complex accounting projects.

Cultivates strong partnerships with internal departments to enhance the quality of financial information and to ensure accounting information is represented accurately and timely.

Exercises sound business acumen and judgment.

Seeks to understand the financial operations of departments, divisions, and business units supported.

Works to ensure internal controls are designed and executed in compliance with the Company’s SOX program. Provides support for internal and/or external audit procedures.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Minimum 2 years’ experience in accounting, with public accounting experience preferred

For this US-based position, the base pay range is $52,972.00 - $66,215.00 per year .
