The ideal candidate will be an experienced construction estimator and should have deep knowledge and understanding of the construction industry.
In addition to this, you should be able to demonstrate strong attention to detail, as well as verbal and written communication skills.
This is a Full-Time position and is based on-site at the company office in Doral, FL
Must have a construction estimating background to develop timely and accurate estimates and bids for construction projects.
Shell construction and purchasing experience are preferred.
Should be able to read structural and architectural plans and have a good knowledge based on field experience of labor costs/times.
Should have familiarity with construction estimating and project management software.
Pro Contractor experience is a plus.
Must be familiar with the change order, submittal, request for information process.
Needs basic knowledge of concrete, rebar, structural steel, trusses, tie beams, foundations, and flooring systems.
Should have a high level of computer literacy with knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as Word and Excel.
Should have strong communication skills, working closely with their team, contractors, and suppliers to ensure client expectations are exceeded throughout the duration of the project.
Ability to read project schedules.
Ability to create project milestone schedules and estimate durations for milestone schedules.
Assist Clients meetings and site visits.
Experience with structural concrete estimating preferred.
Knowledge of Microsoft programs, including Word, Excel, Outlook.
Must have good organizational and communication skills.
Experience in estimating for a Self-Perform General Contractor or Concrete Contractor is a plus.
Experience with a variety of project types with emphasis on Commercial/Industrial preferred.
General knowledge of construction principles/practices required with experience on projects over 1 million dollars.
Knowledge of negotiated bids, and hard bids.
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering
Bilingual a plus
