NPosition Type ManagementJOB SUMMARYMarriott is seeking a Director - Architect Technology Workplace Products to provide architectural leadership across our Global Technology Workplace Tower, including Digital Experience Management, Unified Endpoint Management, and the M365 estate. This role reports to the Vice President of Technology Workplace Products and is part of the leadership team of the Technology Workplace Products tower and plays a key role in shaping the company's overall technology workplace strategy. This pivotal role will be responsible for defining and driving the overall technology architecture strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives, and fostering innovation across these domains. The successful candidate will collaborate with various teams and stakeholders to design scalable, resilient, and flexible solutions that enhance our technology workplace ecosystem.CANDIDATE PROFILEEducation and ExperienceRequired:
Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent experience/certification
8+ years’ experience progressive infrastructure engineering and/or architecture experience including:
6+ years of relevant experience with solution architecture, from concept to implementation and approval
5+ years of experience designing solutions for large-scale enterprise systems
5+ years of relevant experience with large-scale business integrations
3+ years of experience building and deploying applications globally in a cloud environment
Proven experience in enterprise systems that support 99.99% service availability in SAFE Agile environment
Experience with geographically diverse HR, Legal, and Privacy practices and standards
Experience architecting applications that support multi-cloud providers and globally distributed user bases
Experience leading collaborative architecture work across multiple disciplines
Strong understanding of Digital Experience Management, Unified Endpoint Management, and M365 technologies
Change management skills are crucial for driving adoption of new architectures and technologies
Proficiency in Design Thinking methodologies
Technical knowledge of various operating systems (Windows, MacOS, iOS, Android)
Excellent presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas in user-friendly language
Strong negotiating, influencing, and problem-resolution skills
The successful candidate will be expected to balance innovation with compliance and security needs
Travel may be required to support global initiatives and collaborate with international teams
Preferred:
Graduate Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
Active learner who seeks to learn about new technologies and approaches.
Knowledge of business environment and service requirements within the hospitality industry
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Lead and define architecture solutions to enable business objectives, drive stakeholder alignment, and guide detailed design across technology workplace products
Develop and maintain the overall architectural vision for the Technology Workplace Tower, including Digital Experience, Unified Endpoint Management, and M365 technologies
Define solutions and patterns that address integration and standardization across multiple technology domains
Facilitate capacity planning, lifecycle management, usage requirements, feasibility studies, and other architecture tasks
Develop standard prototypes and architecture artifacts to support the platform
Partner and consult with other projects, businesses, and stakeholders to enable consistent solution design and implementations aligned to the architecture
Engage in appropriate IT Governance activities to ensure consistency, compliance, and integration
Provide leadership, oversight, governance, and strategic direction related to technology workplace products
Oversee the documentation of all architecture design and analysis work
Represent the Technology Workplace Tower in project design and execution plans, aligning them with Infrastructure Delivery Projects and Roadmap
Research, design, and guide implementation of high-performing software components that are standards-based, highly available, and secure
Lead analysis of technology industry and market trends to determine potential impact on the overall infrastructure architecture
Support Solution and Domain Architecture by providing architecture direction in terms of technology, software, and infrastructure for projects in the delivery lifecycle
Evaluate and select infrastructure-based products
Develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work across the technology workplace domain
Performance will be measured on factors such as successful architecture implementation, system performance, and alignment with business objectives
Technology Management
Provides input to the Marriott infrastructure architecture and governance model
Researches, designs, and implements high-performing technology solutions that are standards-based, highly available and secured, delivering the required business functionality
Institutes governance based on best practices and ensure proper alignment to projects and major initiatives
Leads analysis of the current environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommends solutions for improvement
Managing Projects and Priorities
Functions as a strategic senior technical expert within the department.
Analyzes information and evaluates results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
Makes and executes the necessary decisions to keep moving forward toward achievement of goals.
Determines priorities, schedules, plans and necessary resources to promote completion of any projects on schedule.
Reviews vendor proposals and selects appropriate vendor for services/technologies/hardware.
Thinks creatively and practically to develop, execute and implement new project plans.

The salary range for this position is $113,850 to $216,315 annually.
