Front of House Team Member

Job Summary:

We are currently operating as a takeout and delivery-only establishment, but we plan to reopen for dine-in services within the next 90 days or sooner. We seek a dedicated and customer-focused Front of House Server to join our team in preparation for this transition. The ideal candidate will excel in providing exceptional service with a strong emphasis on politeness, upselling, and mindfulness. This role requires a thoughtful and organized individual who can operate independently and within a group, ensuring a seamless experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

- Customer Service: Deliver outstanding service by greeting guests warmly (once dine-in services resume), handling takeout and delivery orders efficiently, and ensuring a memorable experience.

- Politeness & Upselling: Master the art of being polite while identifying opportunities to upsell menu items thoughtfully, enhancing the guest experience.

- Mindfulness & Thoughtfulness: Be attentive to guest preferences, dietary restrictions, and special requests, demonstrating genuine care and consideration in every interaction.

- Organization & Responsibility: Maintain a well-organized workspace, handle transactions accurately, and manage time efficiently to ensure smooth operations, both during our takeout phase and when we reopen for dine-in.

- Team Collaboration: Work effectively both independently and as part of a team, supporting fellow servers, kitchen staff, and management to create a harmonious work environment.

- Problem-Solving: Address guest concerns or issues with a positive attitude and resolve them promptly to maintain guest satisfaction.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience as a server or in a similar customer service role.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.

- Ability to multitask and handle a fast-paced environment.

- A team player with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.

- Knowledge of food and beverage menus with a willingness to learn.
