Champ Construction LLC is hiring Full-Time lead abatement supervisors for general construction task to join our team. Our service area includes Wayne County, Macomb County and Oakland County. Champ Construction LLC is a lead-certified firm, licensed and insured.Applicant is required to have 2 years of construction experience. Champ Construction will train the right candidate on our policies and procedures; candidate will be required to travel.Position Responsibilities:
Follow instructions for our services of work and safety protocol in accordance with state laws.
Oversee site preparation for lead abatement work and verify site and activities performed during abatement work; follow all applicable state lead abatement laws.
Manage project goals and objectives, including set up, take down and clearances for completion.
Plan, assign, schedule and review the work of field crews engaged in lead abatement activities.
Exercise judgement and discretion for changes in lead abatement plans, site complications or other issues as they arise.
Estimate materials, supplies, tools, equipment and personnel needed to conduct abatement activities.
Maintain occupant protection plan on site, lead inspection/risk assessment report, complete the scope of work as required and complete required lead abatement reports at project completion.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers, associates and government representatives as applicable.
May be required to wear safety equipment, including a respirator as needed.
Job Skills & Qualifications:
Possess valid certification as a lead abatement supervisor issued by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.
Window and door installation experience.
Willingness to travel.
Access to reliable transportation.
Ability to perform task using various construction tools and equipment.
Maintain balance with attention to detail.
Ability to perform physical task such as standing, kneeling, walking and climbing; lift up to 50lbs regularly, bend, stoop and climb a ladder to reach materials.
Must be able to work in various conditions aside from physical requirements. Must be able to work in excessive heat, cold, humidity, dampness or chilling, slippery or uneven surfaces, noise, offensive odors and extreme weather conditions.
May be required to wear safety equipment as the project dictates, which may include a respirator.
Ability to provide direction, oversee and report out and mentor lead abatement workers/supervisors as applicable.
