Health Services Internal Auditing Accountant - County of Sonoma

Starting salary up to $49.13/hour ($102,540/year) and a competitive total compensation package!

The Health Services Internal Auditing Accountant positions are crucial in maintaining financial integrity within the Department of Health Services (DHS). Responsibilities include:

Developing and implementing new analysis tools, accounting, and cost systems

Performing internal analysis as well as analysis of the contracted agency’s records to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations

Reviewing internal program fiscal effectiveness and providing recommendations for improvement

Submitting audit findings and recommendations to the Supervising Accountant for review by the DHS Fiscal Audit Committee

Ensuring fiscal solvency and accuracy in financial reporting to be in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations

Performing fiscal/cost report analysis and Medi-Cal Administrative Activities

Reviewing sub-recipient single audit reports to confirm proper reporting of awards
