Description As a key member of the executive team, the VP of Finance drives financial strategy and operations, ensuring exceptional client service and satisfaction. This role oversees financial planning, budgeting, accounting, tax, treasury, and audits. If you possess strong financial modeling and leadership skills, please contact Katie Ruger at 616-600-8734.Responsibilities: Lead a professional and highly competent team, fostering an environment of trust, open communication, and cohesive team effort Actively participate in strategic planning, budget development, and other core business functions to actualize business objectives Serve as a strategic business partner to executive leadership Oversee the budgeting process and develop performance measures that support the organization’s strategic direction Evaluate the organization's financial performance in relation to long-term operational goals, budgets, and forecasts Develop financial and tax strategies and oversee their implementation Provide fiduciary oversight for a diverse portfolio of financial interests Streamline financial services and reporting to ensure transparency for all beneficiary members Utilize Accounting Software Systems and other relevant tools for efficient management of Accounting Functions Participate in Project Management Process Improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency of financial operations Develop and monitor annual budget using Budget Processes and Cash Forecasting techniques Perform Financial Planning & Analysis (FP& A) to assist in formulating the company's future direction and support tactical initiatives.Requirements Candidate must have 15 or more years of experience in the field of finance, specifically within the Service Industry Proven expertise in Accounting Software Systems is required. Proficiency in managing the accounting and finance department. Experience in handling Annual Budget and Auditing processes is necessary. Demonstrable skills in Budget Processes are needed. Ability to manage and improve Project Management Process Improvement is required. Expertise in Budgeting and Forecasting is crucial. Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and motivate a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. In-depth knowledge of financial regulations and legislation. Advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. Professional certification such as CFA or CPA is desirable. Proven strategic planning skills at an executive level.
