Description We are on the hunt for a meticulous Accountant in the Real Estate and Property industry, located in Oak Brook, Illinois. The successful candidate will be instrumental in managing our complex financial records, particularly as they relate to bank reconciliation. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity, where the individual will be expected to process multiple bank statements, reconcile internal financial records, and support external audit processes.Responsibilities: Conduct intricate bank reconciliations following significant business acquisitions Process and reconcile numerous bank statements with internal financial records Maintain and update the company's financial database regularly, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded Identify and resolve any discrepancies or inconsistencies in financial entries Collaborate with the accounting team to resolve any reconciliation disparities Prepare and submit periodic financial reports detailing the reconciliation process and status Aid in the development and implementation of financial systems to streamline reconciliation processes Ensure adherence to all financial regulations and company's financial policies Provide necessary documents and facilitate access to financial records in support of external audit processes Engage in company projects geared towards financial improvements. Requirements Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of accounting, preferably within the Real Estate & Property industry. Proficiency in performing all Accounting Functions is essential. Demonstrated skills in Auditing and Balance Sheet Account management. Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations and Monthly Bank Reconciliation. Must be proficient in Excel Formulas and Microsoft Excel. Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail and high level of accuracy. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions based on accurate and timely analyses. Degree in Accounting or related field.
