Carpenter/Wood Window Craftsman / Installer

Boston Stained glass studio is seeking a skilled wood window craftsman and installer.

Applicant must have his own hand and power tools and functioning vehicle.

We are looking for a physically fit woodworker, skilled in epoxy consolidation, recreation of custom wood profiles, knowledgeable and experienced in painting in oil as well as in other mediums.

Since a % of our work is historic restoration, we value independent evaluation and problem solving.

Since a % of our work involves following Architect’s specifications, an applicant for this job must be familiar with lead paint renovation in Ma. and its safety protocols as well as following architect’s consolidation and finish painting procedures. An experienced wood window worker candidate must be accomplished in advanced caulking and sealing techniques such as tooling and knifing.

All experience in glass cutting, drilling, mending, installing and removal are valuable

The applicant must provide his own hand and power tools, and must have a functioning vehicle.

Full or Part time positions are available , $40 per hour plus overtime . 9 holidays and 3 sick days plus a week’s vacation in the second year, 2 weeks’ vacation in the third year and 3 week’s available in the 4th year Our work weeks are generally 40 hr. however, we have flexibility when applied for in advance for added time off or OT
