Here’s what you’ll be doing…
· You'll spend your day communicating fluently in both English and either Korean, Russian, Cantonese, or Mandarin, answering inbound calls from healthcare union members. Expect to handle about 40 calls a day.
· Your goal? To make sure each member feels valued and supported – you’re all about helping others!
· You may be asked to translate written materials or spoken interpretation during meetings or representational proceedings.
Here’s what your work history needs to show as evidence that you’re the right candidate…
· You've thrived in fast-paced environments, ideally in call centers, human services, or social justice organizations. But if you’ve worked in restaurants, retail, tech support, or hospitality, that’s great experience for this position too!
· Stable work history (not too many employment gaps, long periods of employment at one employer) with a reputation for excellent work attendance!
Critical thinking is your thing – you’re great at evaluating and interpreting customer info objectively and rationally.
A proven ability to learn new technology systems quickly and use it like a pro!
Other relatable experience includes being a Receptionist, Data Collector, Data Collections, Billing, Insurance Claim Processor, Collections, Multi Phone Line use, Adjustment Claim Processor, or Sales.
Important Job Details:
· Start Date: Friday, October 18th, 2024
· Pay Rate: $25.65 per hour.
· This is a Direct Hire opportunity – you’ll be a permanent employee from Day 1!
· Work Schedule: 8:00am-5:00pm (Monday thru Friday – No weekends!)
· Location: 5 weeks of on-site paid training in Downtown Seattle, then fully remote (as long as you’re in Washington State).
· There is a possibility you will need to work on site in Downtown Seattle for up to 10 days per year. The employer will pay for travel for training week if over 60 miles away.
· Must pass a criminal background check.
· This position provides a stellar benefits package that includes:
o Generous Paid Time Off Package; 14 vacation days, 15 sick days per year, and 3 personal holidays
o Paid holidays + paid time off between December 24th – January 1st (excluding weekends).
