Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in KANSAS CITY, Missouri. The Sr. Accountant will be responsible for a range of general accounting tasks, focusing on account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, bank reconciliations, and general ledger management. Responsibilities: Conduct account reconciliation to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance. Perform balance sheet reconciliation to verify account balances match with actual cash and equivalent holdings. Handle bank reconciliations to ensure all financial transactions are accounted for and properly posted. Maintain the general ledger and conduct the month-end close process. Prepare and post journal entries ensuring business transactions are recorded. Utilize Microsoft Excel for data entry, analysis, and financial reporting. Continually monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary. Process customer credit applications efficiently and accurately. Maintain accurate customer credit records. Resolve customer inquiries and provide outstanding customer service. Requirements Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is required. Ability to perform Balance Sheet Reconciliation is essential. Must have experience in Bank Reconciliations. Demonstrable skills in managing General Ledger are necessary. Proficiency in creating Journal Entries is required. Must be adept at using Microsoft Excel for accounting functions. Experience in Month End Close process is necessary.
