Sushi Shio at 206 Valencia St., San Francisco, is looking for a skilled Sushi Chef/Helper to join our team full-time. Whether you’re a chef or a helper with a passion for sushi and would like to grow with us, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with fish washing, breakdown, and preparation to maintain the highest quality standards
- Prepare sushi items including maki, nigiri, and sashimi
- Maintain excellent knife skills and precision in sushi preparation
- Ensure consistent food quality, safety, and cleanliness in the kitchen
- Support the kitchen team in daily operations to ensure smooth workflow
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience preferred in sushi preparation (chef or helper)
- Strong knife skills and knowledge of fish handling, washing, and breakdown
- Ability to make maki and nigiri with speed and consistency
- Full-time availability, 5-6 days a week, including weekends (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday)
- Positive attitude, team player, and strong work ethic
