compensation: $18-$25/hr for qualified individuals

employment type: Part-time(20-30hrs) can lead into full-time. Friday, Saturday and Sunday a must.

While We Were Young is seeking responsible line cook for our established West Village restaurant and craft cocktail bar. Come be part of something truly different. We are looking for candidates who have a strong work ethic, great attitude and want to create something special! We are a 25 seat restaurant with a small menu that serves contemporary American cuisine. Looking for candidates who have a minimum of 2+ years as a line cook.

Must Have current DOH food handlers or willing to get one within 2 weeks. We will pay.

Candidates should possess the following:

Strong work ethic and ability to follow direction

Strong knife skills

Ability to properly cook proteins to various temperatures

Strong written and verbal communication skills (fluent in English required) Some Spanish would be a plus.

Work well under pressure

Proper spatial and personal cleanliness
