The Pharmacy Technician III functions in an advanced practice role within the pharmacy. Responsible for being a subject matter expert in all pharmacy technician aspects of the pharmacy including retail pharmacy, specialty pharmacy, and home delivery. Pharmacy Technician lead is responsible for pharmacy technician scheduling, filing, licensing renewals/maintenance, completing financial reports, training and mentoring new staff, competency assessment, regulatory compliance, policy/procedures, and quality improvement activities. The Pharmacy Technician III will also be responsible for day to day office administration.Essential Key Job Responsibilities
Maintains a positive leadership role within the department
Will be a subject matter expert in retail and specialty pharmacy and the pharmacy operating system
Provides technical support for pharmacy technology and the pharmacy operating system.
Will help develop and maintain the technician training program
Trains and mentors all new pharmacy staff
Will assist pharmacy leaders in adjusting workflow to meet the needs of the department
Will back up the pharmacy buyer if needed
Performs administrative office support functions for pharmacy operations, including filing, end of day/month financial reports, technician scheduling, etc.
Assist with management of regulatory accountabilities at the pharmacy site including own use policy and DSCSA compliance
Assists with Residency Program , Advanced Clinical Practice Pharmacy Students, and pharmacy student rotation calendars.
Performs all duties of a Pharmacy Technician I and Pharmacy Technician II
QualificationsRequired Education and Experience
Required 3+ years retail or specialty pharmacy technician experience.
2 years lead experience preferred
Registered Pharmacy Technician Arizona license
Active CPT-EXCPT or CPT-PTCB or CPHT certification in good standing
