We are looking for a competent Superintendent to coordinate operations and oversee workers and subcontractors at federal and state construction sites. As the point of reference for both workers and supervisors, you will be a key person in the completion of a project. This person must have a solid background in the field. Your leadership skills and your extensive experience have earned you the ability to direct the work of others and to make quick decisions. You must be well organized and favor safety above everything else. Must be willing to travel.
Tasks:
● Monitor expenditures and ensure that the project remains on budget.
● Report on progress to managers and owners.
● Track hours on the project and keep the project on budget.
● Coordinates and supervises day-to-day field construction activities.
● Works with project management on schedule, resource management, and on-time and budget completion of all projects.
● Coordinate and work with subcontractors to ensure quality workmanship and on-time and budget project completion.
● Establish and maintain relationships with subcontractors to enable quick responses.
● Guarantee that all safety precautions and quality standards are met.
● Ensures all federal, state, local, and company safety regulations are enforced.
● Provide support for projects in various stages of construction.
● Communicate effectively with government staff members.
● Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans.
● Assist with the maintenance of construction schedules.
● Ensure manpower and resources are adequate.
● Prepare daily reports.
● Assist with project close-out via red-line drawings.
● Perform SSHO and/or environmental duties as applicable.
● Resolve problems when they arise.
● Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience and Job requirements:
● Multi-Trade Construction: 4-6 years (Required)
● Federal/IDIQ/ Military Construction: 2 years (Required)
● Proven experience as a Superintendent (minimum 5+ years)
● OSHA 30 and EM385 Certifications (Required)
● Ability to read and interpret drawings, plans, and specifications
● Excellent organizational and leadership skills
● Ability to communicate and report effectively
● Knowledge of safety regulations (OSHA and EM-385)
● Working with tools daily as needed
Skills/Qualifications:
● Ability to use a computer and cloud-based software for daily reporting● Demonstrated knowledge of the construction industry (relevant codes, safety regulations, etc.)● Knowledge of local environmental regulations● Proficient in computer skills● Ability to speak fluent English● Verbal and written communication skills● Problem-solving skills● Multi-tasking and meeting deadlines● Analytical and critical thinking skills● Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy● Effective management and planning skills● Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical individuals● Ability to learn through observation and hands-on experience● Ability to gather data, compile information, and make reports● Ability to work and make decisions with minimal supervision.

Work Location: In person. We work Four 10's, Monday thru Thursday.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
● Main work location will be an active construction site, which may include
● Working outdoors with exposure to uneven ground, dust, and extreme heat or cold
● Working around moving machinery
● Occasionally lifting 50 – 75 lbs.
● Wearing PPE
● Secondary work locations may include an office situation with the possibility of repetitive motion consistent with computer work
● Sitting for extended periods of time
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Prevailing Wage, up to $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
