These data are used throughout the company to enable commercial operations, audience generation, and sales activities. Your work will be seen and used by fellow data scientists, business partners, sales representatives, and customers of Thermo Fisher. You will be expected to learn quickly and offer creative and expeditious solutions to novel challenges.You will report to a senior member of the team and operate as a key asset within the Corporate Data Science Center of Excellence, a team comprised of data scientists, data engineers, business analysts, program/product managers, and others.Key Responsibilities Independently develop and deploy data solutions using industry standard tech stacks Work closely with data scientists and cross-functionally to gather and satisfy requirements Follow agile development methodologies to deliver solutions and product features by following standard DevOps practicesEducation and Experience 4-year degree in computer science (or equivalent) OR 8- to 10-years of experience in data services/data engineeringKnowledge, Skills, Abilities 8 years or more experience using Python and SQL Fluency in Databricks and Spark, including pipeline development, automation, and monitoring Hands-on experience designing and administrating relational database solutions, including Delta Lake, Oracle, and AWS Redshift 5 years or more experience using and managing AWS products, including Spark, Glue, Kafka, Elastic Search, Lambda, S3, Redshift, and others.
