Help Wanted: Cashier/Front of House Staff Member for Fusion Take-Out Restaurant

Location: Flatbush, Brooklyn, NY

Pay: $16/hr, with room for growth and advancement

We are a brand-new fusion take-out restaurant opening in Flatbush, Brooklyn, on September 16th, 2024, and we are looking for a friendly and organized Cashier/Front of House Staff Member to join our team! If you have excellent customer service skills and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we want to meet you.

Responsibilities:

Perform cashier duties, including handling cash, credit card transactions, and using the POS system.

Prepare and pack take-out orders accurately and efficiently.

Serve as the point of contact with delivery personnel to ensure timely pickups and deliveries.

Answer the phone for customer inquiries and take phone orders.

Fill online orders and ensure they are ready for pickup.

Maintain a clean and welcoming front-of-house environment.

Assist with cleaning the back of the house as needed.

Support general daily operations to ensure smooth and efficient service.

Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude.

Qualifications:

Proficiency in English is required.

A valid food handler's permit is required.

Previous experience in a customer service or cashier role is preferred but not required.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.

Basic math skills for handling cash transactions.

A positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Reliable, punctual, and a team player.
