Duties: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles, equipment, and machinery using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment. Conduct diagnostic tests and troubleshoot issues with diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, and other mechanical components. Use mechanical knowledge and expertise to identify and fix problems, and ensure all work is completed to the highest standards. Operate a variety of equipment, including welding and soldering tools, to make repairs and fabricate parts as needed. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with customers, explaining repair procedures and timelines, and ensuring their satisfaction with the work. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols and industry standards. Collaborate with other service technicians and team members to ensure efficient and effective workflow. Continuously update knowledge and skills to stay current with the latest technologies and best practices in the field. Qualifications: Proven experience as a Mechanic or Service Technician in a similar industry. Strong understanding of automotive repair and mechanical principles. Ability to work with hand tools and power tools, and a willingness to learn new skills. Familiarity with welding and soldering techniques. Experience with diesel engine repair and maintenance. Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally. Physical stamina to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines. High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical training in automotive repair or a related field is preferred.
