Job DescriptionLocation: Chicago, ILHospital: RUSH University Medical CenterDepartment: HR Benefits AdminWork Type: Full Time (Total FTE between 0.9 and 1.0)Shift: Shift 1Work Schedule: 8 Hr (8:00:00 AM - 5:00:00 PM)Summary:The Benefits Analyst aids in the development, design, implementation and administration of health and welfare, retirement and leave benefits programs, practices and policies. TheBenefits Analyst provides day-to-day support for the Benefits department and, in partnership with other members of the Benefits team, works to ensure accurate plan administration in compliance with applicable state and federal legislations. Exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and proceduresOther information:Required Job Qualifications: Bachelor's degree. At least 2-4 years of relevant work experience where the required knowledge, skills and abilities have been acquired will be accepted in lieu of a bachelor’s degree. Previous experience working within Human Resources. Working proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; specifically, Microsoft Excel and Word. Demonstrated integrity and discretion in handling protected/confidential data. Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Effective written and oral communication skills. Customer service focus. Ability to manage competing priorities.Preferred Job Qualifications: Experience in Benefits. Professional HR certification.Responsibilities:

Support the Benefits team in the administration of benefits programs, including open enrollmentand employee leaves.

Assist in developing, organizing and tracking workflow and processes for the Benefits team.

Provide standard and ad hoc benefits and leave of absence reports for audits and on an as needed basis.

Conduct data integrity audits focused on employee and benefit plan data within Vendor and Rush applications.

Support Employee Service Center and HR partners with general benefits-related questions.

Respond to leave of absence cases escalated from the Employee Service Center (ESC)

Create and update leave of absence communications and documents including Rush’s internal website.

Educate employees, HR, managers, while working with external vendors and payroll to ensure accurate time tracking and pay reporting.

Assist with vendor billing reconciliation and payment.

Additional duties and projects as assigned.
