Position SummaryProvides leadership to focus on continuous improvement activities relative to safety, quality, training and productivity. Address company polices and assist Team Leader (i.e. cell phones, break schedules, lunch schedules, attendance, etc.) in all aspects of Team Leader role daily. Key Roles & ResponsibilitiesEssential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.Other duties may be assigned.

Create a proactive safety culture; Address safety / ergonomic issues

Provide excellent quality to the downstream customers; React quickly to quality issues

Ability to be comfortable with addressing 1:1 interactions with other associates who may be violating the policy.

Be a working Assistant Leader; and working on a station whenever needed.

Assure that team members are properly trained and cross trained

Work to eliminate bottlenecks and improve cycle time.

Scheduling and pitch entry on Leading 2 Lean

Technical expert of entire process, capable of physically and systematically completing changeover

Improve/ maintain 5S and follow up on action items

Improve the efficiency of shift overlap, enforce signoffs and overlap duties

Participate in problem solving activities

Be a motivator; Maintain a positive attitude.

Foster positive working relationships with other teams, support groups, and management

Communicate effectively with team members and support groups, and follow up (i.e. part shortages and emergency changes)

Capable of creating and completing daily rotation

Physical Requirements:

Stand for long periods of time including during operation of stand-up lifts.

Lifting shoulder high up to 35 lbs. repetitively.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Repetitive motion activities including but not limited to assembly, standing, lifting, loading/unloading carts.
