Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in equipment repair and a passion for delivering high-quality work. As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing equipment, and trucks utilizing your mechanical knowledge and hand tools to ensure the highest level of workmanship.

Responsibilities:

Demonstrating good mechanical theory

Demonstrate equipment and operational knowledge

Organization and planning management

Documentation management

Ability to research and trouble shoot all mechanical issues

Ability to read and write in English clearly and legibly

Welding and fabrication helpful

Electrical operation and trouble shooting

Hydraulic function and troubleshooting

Bearing and seals usage and identification

Small engines repair and maintenance

Diesel engines familiarity

DOT trucks and trailers

Maintaining a clean and safe working environment; adhering to all safety policies and procedures

Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections on vehicles to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards

Use schematics and electrical knowledge to diagnose and repair complex issues.

Utilize hand tools and air brake systems to complete tasks efficiently and effectively.

Operate cranes and other heavy equipment to lift and move vehicles and equipment.

Collaborate with others to complete projects and share knowledge and expertise.

Stay up-to-date with the latest industry developments and technical advancements to continuously improve skills and techniques.

Ability to bend/stoop/crouch/squat/use arms/wrists/hands/grasp/sit on moving equipment

Ability to meet or exceed all safety criteria set by DOT

Ability to track and monitor all equipment maintenance, including preventative maintenance

Work effectively and efficiently in a team environment

Outstanding communication

Ability to be self- directed; maintain positive, cooperative, and team-oriented relationships with co-workers

Bilingual skills – English/Spanish helpful.

Three-year experience.

Ability to communicate in English orally and in writing.

Valid O.D.L.

Ability to obtain CDL license helpful.

Ability to pass drug test. A failed drug test as determined by the testing agency disqualifies you from employment.

Ability to pass a background check as determined by employer. A criminal conviction in and of itself does not disqualify you from employment but understand that due to the nature of some criminal convictions as determined by School Districts may not allow you to work on their property, in this case you will be disqualified from employment.

Ability to pass a fitness for duty test.

Your DMV driving record must pass the requirements of our insurance company so that you are insurable to drive company vehicles otherwise you will not be eligible for employment.

Ability to obtain a CDL in a timely fashion, no later than nine (9) months from hire date (company pays cost)
