Sr. Accountant
Description Robert Half Management Resources is currently looking for an interim Senior Accountant to support a Real Estate industry client in Dublin, OH. The interim Senior Accountant will provide property accounting support (mixture of hotel, commercial, and residential properties), mainly journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and prepaids for the client until the role can be filled long-term. This is a contract role, but contractors who do well in the interim role will also be considered for permanent vacancies within the organization if desired. This role is based 100% onsite at the client's location in Dublin.Responsibilities: Accurately process and reconcile account transactions Prepare and review journal entries Generate detailed financial statements for a portfolio of properties including hotels, commercial, mixed use, and residential assets Maintain effective communication with property management and asset management teams Analyze and understand various asset types, accruals, and pre-paid expenses Ensure accuracy and attention to detail in all accounting tasks Utilize Microsoft Excel for reconciliations and other accounting tasks Work with RealPage, our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, and other Google suite of products for effective management of tasks Conduct in-depth investigations into financial data.Requirements Must hold a minimum of 3 years of experience in the accounting field. Proficiency in account reconciliation is required. Ability to prepare and maintain journal entries. Must have extensive knowledge and working experience with Microsoft Excel. Experience with month-end close processes is required. Must have experience in preparing financial statements. Knowledge of property accounting is necessary. Experience with RealPage software is a plus. Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. Must demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities are necessary. Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
