Come, be a part of our team and create Care Chemicals with us.We are seeking a professional like you to join our team and to ensure required target performance achievement of a very large and complex Care Chemical asset base across North America where you will be accountable providing leadership for the Care Chemicals Manufacturing Technology Center (MTC) with a focus on Technology Transfer, Technical Process Optimization, Capital Strategy and Asset Target Pictures. You will work directly with Care Chemical production sites, R&D teams, Global EM Technology, Quality/Regulatory, and Product Management to support process development, continuous improvement, and expand technical capabilities in North America through benchmarking and collaboration with other regions. You will be a member of the EMN Operations Leadership Team and will interact with all EMN functions as well as enable functions/organizations across BASF in fulfilling the mission of the business and sites, ensuring customer satisfaction, and achieving operational excellence.As a Regional Process & Technology Manager
You will lead and manage various strategic elements to develop and achieve continued growth through an effective Asset Target Picture process.
Keeping customers at the forefront and successfully engaging within the organization, you will identify and exchange best practices through collaboration with business managers and global colleagues, steer new product introductions and product transfers within the phase gate process, ensure resources and budget, and drive the realization of process improvements together with operations and tollers in the region to meet business needs.
Acting with entrepreneurial drive, you will define and clarify new manufacturing technologies and strategies, develop, and monitor key technical performance indicators and support / implement continuous improvements to enhance plant and tolling cost competitiveness to maximize profitability
Using your business acumen and collaboration skills, you will develop a multi-year capital plan in alignment with the SBU strategies and Asset Target Pictures, including the necessary justification and prioritization for the annual plan, ensuring alignment with all regional stakeholders, EMM, EMT and EM/C.
Utilizing your results-oriented mindset, along with your strong implementation skills, you will develop and implement regional best practices and influence global practices to coordinate and streamline the Divisional capital project approval processes and ensuring timely completion of all Central project deliverables.
Understanding smart manufacturing industry practices you will be responsible for leading global, regional, and local initiatives broadly affecting Care Chemicals manufacturing, including identification, prioritization and implementation of digitalization initiatives and manufacturing solutions in alignment with the capital plan and asset / site development plans.
