Description of JobThe Salary Range for this position is : $27.74 - $39.16 Hourly $2,219.54 - $3,132.46 Biweekly $4,809.00 - $6,787.00 Monthly $57,708.00 - $81,444.00 Annually The Workers' Compensation Pre-Hearing Unit provides a forum for pre-hearing conferences, settlement conferences, arbitrations, and settlement advisement hearings before a pre-hearing Administrative Law Judge (PALJ). The work unit also provides a forum for PALJs to review and decide procedural motions filed with the Division pursuant to the Workers’ Compensation Rules of Procedure (WCRP). The work unit fulfills the Division of Workers’ Compensation’s (Division) statutory mandate to provide these services pursuant to §§ 8-43-205, 206, 206.5 and 207.5 C.R.S. The work unit is also responsible for certifying and approving all settlement agreements on behalf of the Division Director.This position is responsible for assisting with managing the electronic docket and case management system, determining and approving Represented Settlements with the signature authority from the Division Director, ruling on motions as appropriate as Designee Clerk, processing Application for Indigent and the forthcoming duty of handling the DIME application packet issues, the processing of priority motions and the scheduling of pre-hearing and settlement conferences; arbitration hearings; and settlement advisement hearings. In addition this position applies WCRPs and unit policy guidelines to provide unit customers with information concerning procedures. Ability to comprehend, create, and edit technical documents.
Knowledge of the Colorado Workers’ Compensation Act Colorado (Act) and applicable portions of the WCRP.
Required Computer Skills and Software:
Ability to use Access and/or SQL databases, and Salesforce;
Proficient in all Microsoft (Xcel, Word) and Google Applications (Docs, Sheets, Drive); and Adobe Pro
