Important: This is a full-time hybrid position. During the initial 90 days, your commitment will be full-time in the office, making this opportunity ideal for local applicants within commuting distance.

As a Sales Engineer I / Software QA Engineer, you will need programming experience, problem solving skills and great communication for this hybrid entry to mid-level role. You will need to be able to have multi-tasking capability, self-starter/learner and a willingness to learn different technologies. The successful candidate will provide technical software support for our customers and perform QA responsibilities such as writing test cases and creating test applications for internal use. The successful candidate will also be tasked to present technical presentations to win new accounts with our pre-sales team. Candidates are also encouraged to continuously learn new technologies independently and keep up with current technologies in this fast-paced role.

Sales Engineering Responsibilities:

Present technical presentations of our APIs to demonstrate core value on discovery calls

Provide time sensitive deliverables or proof of concepts to win new accounts with our Sales team.

Provide API software support for our customers and DevOps to ensure bug fixes/updates are released appropriately

Write product marketing articles for new features or developments on your assigned product

Utilizing SQL to analyze and identify data trends for business intelligence

Design, develop and maintain internal automation scripts for clients or internal use

Design, develop and maintain test cases, smoke testing, regression testing and refactoring

Writing and updating technical specifications in confluence

Maintain backlog of tasks in Jira and report on weekly basis

Assist QA in product testing

Minimum Requirements:

Proficient with at least one programming language such as Java, Python, C#, C

Excellent written/verbal communication and problem-solving skills

Excellent presentation skills and the ability to write well written reports or documentation

Ability to travel to trade shows and conventions

Good eye for attention to details

Willingness to learn new topics

Computer Science or related degree or bootcamp

New graduates are encouraged to apply

Bonus qualifications:

Knowledge of a database language such as SQL

Knowledge of RESTful services or micro service architecture

Knowledge of NoSQL technologies, Elastic Search/Hadoop

Knowledge of multiple programming languages

Knowledge of Docker or Kubernetes

Knowledge of Agile methodologies

Knowledge of Smoke tests, regression testing

Prior experience with Linux, bash scripting, PowerShell, basic networking

Prior experience with Jira, Confluence, GIT or some versioning control system

Prior experience with software technical support, customer service or software development

Prior experience with ETL tools such as SSIS or Azure Data Factory

Pay range:

$30.00 - $35.00 per hour DOE + commissions
