providesclinical support to patients and assists care providers with clinical
and administrative support.Current Openings at the Briargate Outpatient Specialty Clinics, located in
Colorado Springs:
Float (all units) -full time currently available
Pulmonary - part time currently available
Gastroenterology - full time currently available
Note: MAs may be required to float to other care areas as needed.Hourly Salary:
Compensation is determined by years of experience. The pay range for Medical
Assistant is $18.99 - $23.07 per hour. For a Medical Assistant Senior,
the pay range is $20.81 - $25.27 per hour.

The Minimum Qualifications to be a Medical Assistant are:
EDUCATION - High school diploma or equivalent and graduation from an
accredited Medical Assistant program.
EQUIVALENCY - One year of experience in a direct health care role may
substitute for graduation from a Medical Assistant program.
CERTIFICATION(S) - BLS for Healthcare Providers / CPR.The Minimum Qualifications to be a Medical Assistant Senior are:
EDUCATION - High school diploma or equivalent and graduation from an
accredited Medical Assistant program.
EXPERIENCE - One year in a direct health care role.
EQUIVALENCY - Additional one year of experience in a direct health care role
may substitute for graduation from a Medical Assistant program. Total
experience requirement without graduation from a Medical Assistant program is
two years of experience in a direct health care role.
CERTIFICATION(S) - BLS for Healthcare Providers / CPR and certification
as a Certified Medical Assistant, Registered Medical Assistant, National
Certified Medical Assistant, Nationally Registered Certified Medical
Assistant, Certified Clinical Medical Assistant.Job Highlights
Prepares patients for the health care visit by directing and/or accompanying
them to the examining room; providing examination gowns and drapes;
arranging examining room instruments, supplies, and equipment. Conducts
quality checks.
Verifies patient information by interviewing patient; reviewing and/or
recording medical history; taking vital signs; confirming purpose of visit
or treatment. Reports areas of concern to next care provider.
Supports patient care delivery by assisting health care providers during
examinations; preparing laboratory specimens; performing basic testing;
disposing of contaminated supplies; cleaning or preparing for sterilization
of medical instruments; administering medications per policy and
procedures; telephoning prescriptions to pharmacies and other duties within
sco
Assists in balancing workloads, coordinates and maintains clinic flow by
coordinating with providers, and monitoring patient flow.
Prepares and completes medical record for visit by recording patient
information, treatment, and test results. Assists with patient
"MyChart" enrollment.
Independently initiates insurance pre-authorizations.
Serves as the preceptor for new staff, including orientation, education,
