What we seek
Worley has an exciting new opportunity for an exceptional candidate to be our
Environmental Science and Planning Director - North America in the Regulatory
and Society service line. This position would be responsible for strategic
leadership and oversight of multiple science-based teams across the US and
Canada, including marine ecology, vegetation and wetland ecology,
wildlife ecology, and freshwater fisheries and aquatic ecology.
The ideal candidate could be based in North America (US or Canada) in one
of our Worley office hubs, but will have the flexibility to work from a home.
This position will report to the Vice President, Regulatory & Society.
Overall Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
Manages the Team Leads for wildlife, vegetation, wetland, and
aquatics, and marine, including career development and performance.
Supports development of departmental budgets, forecasting and execution
of strategic execution plans.
Responsible for growth, enhancement, and delivery for the Teams.
Support and collaborate with Team Leads to manage schedules and workloads.
Provide oversight and leadership of business development and strategy,
including new markets, services, and capabilities.
Provide oversight of technical stewardship for the delivery of high-quality
deliverables.
Collaborate with other similar teams globally at Worley.
Provide oversight and leadership of project delivery excellence and
delivery of projects within the financial 'as sold' target.
Promote a safe working environment and culture with the Team in line with
Worley's Health and Safety standard and Safety Advisors.
Build effective relationships with other managers, client relationship
leads, directors, Service Line leaders and other key personnel.Qualifications
B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree from an accredited institution plus appropriate
continuing education in Biology, Ecology, Environmental Science, or a
related discipline
15 years of experience leading environmental teams.
Strong knowledge in ecology and significant experience in environmental
consulting.
Demonstrated considerable understanding of the overall environmental market
in North America.
Experience with corporate strategic planning initiatives and a demonstrated
ability to develop and implement successful strategies.
Demonstrated leadership capabilities in the areas of personnel
management, decision making, change management, employee development,
performance management and team building skills.
Strong business acuity and commercial skills.
Excellent client interfacing and relations ip skills.
Experience managing multiple tasks while maintaining a high degree of
attention to detail in a demanding consulting environment.
Additional Information:
This position is in California.
Salary Range $123,365-$181,419 USD

For applicants based in the state of Colorado, the salary range is
$120,159 to $176,715 USD.
For applicants based in the province of British Columbia, the salary range
is $131,082 to $192,768 CAD. Application of the pay band: Variation
in salary is determined by factors such as the candidate's qualifications,
relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity,
and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
