Barista, Beer, and Wine Attendant

Key Responsibilities:

-Greet and assist guests with a friendly and professional demeanor

-Prepare and serve coffee, espresso drinks, and other beverages to the hotel’s quality standards

-Handle cash and card transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures

-Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee shop, including workstations, equipment, and seating areas

-Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure a seamless operation

-Provide information on menu items, making recommendations based on guest preferences

-Adhere to all health and safety guidelines, including food safety and sanitation standards

-Manage inventory and report any shortages or discrepancies to the manager

-Work various shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

-Perform other duties as assigned by the management team

Qualifications:

Minimum Education:

High School diploma or equivalent

Minimum Experience:

-TAPs Card certification preferred (21+ preferred for this position, as we do serve alcohol as well)

-Food Handler’s Card certification

-Previous experience as a barista or in a similar customer service role, preferably in a high-volume coffee shop or café

-Familiarity with coffee brewing equipment and techniques

-Familiarity with serving alcoholic beverages to guests

-Skills/Abilities:

-Strong customer service and interpersonal skills

-Ability to prepare a variety of coffee beverages accurately and efficiently

-Excellent verbal communication skills

-Proficiency in handling cash transactions and using point-of-sale systems

-Ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment

-Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of service

-Ability to multitask and manage time effectively

-Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations

-Passion for coffee and a willingness to learn about new products and techniques
