Gravure Ink has opened a brand new temperature-controlled facility, fully equipped with state of the art equipment, including a new printing press and is hiring a Continuous Improvement Specialist! This position will hold a key role, and report to the Leadership Team, responsible for ensuring the overall creation,implementation and maintenance of Continuous Improvement processes and programs to assure the highest possible degree of quality throughout the facility, with the overall goal of being ISO certified.Gravure Ink is a major manufacturer and supplier of decorative and textured printed vinyls and papers to different industries throughout the United States and has grown their operation to La Porte, Indiana to expand printing operations!The Continuous Improvement Specialist will own the overall framework and implementation of processes throughout Gravure Ink, using Lean Six Sigma principles to drive continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence throughout the facility. This role is involved in planning, scheduling, and implementing continuous improvement activities including Kaizen on the production floor of a manufacturing facility.Responsibilities will included, but not be limited to:
Identifying opportunities for process improvement, waste removal, and cost reduction
Planning, facilitating, and executing continuous improvement events using Lean Six Sigma tools
Teaching, leading, and coaching cross-functional teams on Lean Six Sigma tools and methodology
Working to continuously improve processes both on the production floor as well as transactional by collaborating with multiple functions such as logistics
Clearly defining program objectives and scope
Evaluating and prioritizing potential improvements based on gains and required effort
Securing employee commitment (ex: process managers) for proactive change management
Establishing a clear and well-articulated implementation plan
Establishing criteria for the projects success and preparing a sound statement of constraints/limiting factors
Resolving technical problems such as formulation, equipment, product, interpretation of regulations, and resource availability
Clearly defining methodology
Accurately analyzing options including impact and feasibility
Specifying obstacles and ways to overcome them through continuous improvement
Regularly monitoring the implementation of solutions to achieve objectives and expected benefits

Undergraduate degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Management or related field preferred but equivalent combination of experience will be considered3+ years Continuous Improvement experience within a manufacturing facilityMust be willing to travel overnight (Up to 30%)Ability to make decisions as well as influence decision-making[]{mce-="" style="font-family: 'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-ser"}
