Staff Accountant
Description We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team based in Argyle, Texas. This role primarily involves maintaining and preparing accurate financial records and reports. It also requires supporting both accounts payable and receivable functions, conducting internal audits, and assisting with special projects. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity. Responsibilities: Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports, including general ledger entries, balance sheets, and income statements. Assist with account reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, and bank reconciliations. Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. Assist in the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, including journal entry preparation and account reconciliations. Support accounts payable and receivable functions, including processing invoices, payments, and collections. Assist in preparing and monitoring budgets and forecasts. Conduct internal audits to identify and resolve accounting discrepancies and ensure compliance with internal controls. Maintain organized and up-to-date financial documentation and support audit processes. Assist with special projects and tasks as assigned by superiors. Utilize accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP to streamline and automate financial management. Requirements Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Experience with Bank Reconciliations Familiarity with General Ledger maintenance and operations Ability to prepare and analyze Journal Entries Experience with Month End Close procedures Proficiency in using NetSuite for accounting tasks Knowledge of Oracle financial software functionalities Experience with QuickBooks accounting software Familiarity with SAP financial software modules Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities Detail-oriented and able to work with high levels of accuracy Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel Adherence to confidentiality and data protection protocols Willingness to continually update skills and knowledge in the field of accounting.
