Tax Associate

Description We are looking for a diligent Tax Associate to join our team in Newark, New Jersey. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing tax-related matters across different jurisdictions and ensuring the accuracy and transparency of tax reporting. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Manage the transition and consolidation of payroll tax matters across various jurisdictions. Address outstanding tax issues, close old jurisdictions, and establish new ones. Collaborate closely with relevant teams to design and implement a process for clear and transparent reporting. Utilize accounting software systems such as ADP - Financial Services, or Ceridian Perform various accounting functions and handle allowances. Deliver exceptional customer service, responding to and resolving customer inquiries. Conduct precise data entry tasks and maintain accurate customer credit records. Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.Requirements Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems Knowledge of ADP - Financial Services Ability to perform various Accounting Functions Customer Service skills Data Entry skills Knowledge of Deductible calculations Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team High level of accuracy and attention to detail Ability to handle confidential information responsibly Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferable.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
