Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Billing and Collections Supervisor in the Environmental Services industry located in North Houston. The role involves supervising both billing and collections departments, coordinating work assignments, training and mentoring staff, and serving as the first point of escalation for customer complaints within the team. The position is fully in office, Monday-Friday from 8:00-4:30 with some overtime and Saturdays required. Responsibilities: Supervise daily operations in billing and collections departments ensuring efficient operations. Assign daily work tasks to staff and manage their time effectively. Train, mentor, and evaluate the performance of all staff members. Handle disciplinary actions when necessary. Monitor workflow, analyze and review trends, and make necessary alterations. Implement and monitor initiatives aimed at reducing errors and improving customer service. Identify and implement process changes to increase staff productivity. Review and recommend changes to policies, procedures, and workflow/processes. Serve as the first point of escalation and troubleshoot customer complaints or issues within the team. Oversee other areas in the absence of the Manager. Act as a liaison with other departments.Requirements Minimum of 5 years of experience in a billing and collections role Proven experience in business-to-business collections Proficiency in managing Accounts Receivable Demonstrated experience in supervising teams Familiarity with standard billing functions Proven ability to lead and motivate a team Strong skills in problem-solving and decision-making Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work overtime and some Saturdays High level of professionalism and ethical standards Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectivelyRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
