Production and Fabrication Lead
RoofScreen Manufacturing, Inc. has an open position for a Production and Fabrication Lead in the beautiful Sierra foothills at our San Andreas CA location. This position will currently work a 4x10 schedule, Mon-Thurs
Please note this position is not eligible for remote work.
The Production and Fabrication Lead provides a variety of oversight as well as active shop duties including but not limited to management or performance of the following roles:
Program CNC cutting and bending machines using proprietary software
Act as primary operator for 2D laser cutting, managing materials and programs to feed downstream bending and welding processes
Operate press brakes as needed, including assisting staff with setup, troubleshooting and QC
Direct the manufacturing team to ensure optimal workflow
Ensure team is carrying out work as per schedule, communicating with management any schedule slip
Document work in tracking documentation and ensure internal paperwork is accurate
Ensures appropriate safety standards are set, and personnel understand and abide by safety procedures, practices, and policies.
Supports and communicates management decisions and acts as employee liaison with management
Comply with and enforce internal Quality requirements in cutting, bending and welding departments
Essential Skills Needed:
Familiarity and basic aptitude w CAD or other design software
Familiarity with welding and common welding practices
Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide and motivate a team
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
Capacity to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
Understanding production fabrication processes and procedures
Mechanical aptitude and machine fault troubleshooting ability
An Ideal Candidate will have:
3d modeling software experience, IE: Fusion 360, Solidworks, Spaceclaim
Experience with Trumpf TruTops Boost software
Experience with Trumpf Lasers / press brakes
Exposure to or experience with Collaborative robot programming
Exposure to or experience with Fanuc industrial robot programming
Hold welding certification in GMAW / GTAW
Knowledge of G-Code and experience with 3 axis VMC
