The Crowne Plaza Hotel is looking for an energetic, team-oriented Cook to join our team. This is a full-time position primarily working the AM &PM shift.

The Cook will accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook and present meals and/or special catered events. Additional responsibilities and duties may be assigned as needed.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Responsible for preparing ingredients and production according to recipes/directions

· Produces food for dinner service, with occasional catered events

· Ensures consistent quality on all prepared items

· Maintains a clean and organized station, prep area and kitchen equipment

· Manage guest orders in a friendly, timely and presentable manner

QUALIFICATIONS:

· 1 year experience preferred

· Ability to read, understand and follow recipes

· Able to lift up to 25 lbs.

· California Food Handler Card is a must

· Able to use standard kitchen equipment correctly and safely: chef’s knives, slicing machines, grills, broilers, steamers, etc.
