Position: Operations Manager/Foreman (OMF)
Location: Washington, DC - Prince George’s County, MD
Status: Part Time (15 hrs/week )
Salary: Hourly
Rate: $30.00/hour
Work Setting: Hybrid Remote and In-Person, Construction Sites
Travel: Local Travel Required

BHV Green is looking for an Operations Manager/Foreman to join our team! If you’re interested in part-time construction and operations management, are a self-starter and enjoy leading projects, and want to be part of a small company that cares about their team, then we’d like to meet you!
We are a fast-growing, full-service green infrastructure firm specializing in bio retentions, rain gardens, green roofs, and post-construction landscaping. We built this company from our experience in facilities management, discovering a need for quality landscaping and stormwater management services in the DC area. Since our inception in 2019, we have proudly served both public and private clients, including real estate developers, government agencies, and general contractors.
Key Activities for our trade include:
Planting Trees, Shrubs, Groundcover, Herbaceous Plants, etc.
Sod Installation/Grass Seeding.
Bioretention/Rain Garden Installations
Landscape Planters
Stormwater Underdrain Installations (PVC: 4”, 6”. Nyloplast basins, Cleanout)
Tying Underdrains to Sewers
Excavation & Grading
Designing and Installing Green Roofs
OMF Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
The ideal candidate will have experience working in the landscaping/stormwater utilities trade, and have bid/proposal development and cost estimating experience. The OMF will work closely with Owners to source new opportunities, review and shred RFPs for qualifying opportunities, develop cost estimates, and respond to requests for pricing. The OMF will also oversee construction projects.
Business Development/Estimating
Research procurement websites for current solicitations and projects that match BHV Green’s capabilities.
Read and shred RFPs for new solicitations/bids and fill out the RFP Highlights form for Owners to review.
Once approved by owners, prepare pricing and/or cost estimates for the bid.
Additional duties include attending site walks and pre-bid meetings in person and virtual.
Construction/Operations Management
Oversee the completion of awarded construction contracts.
Supervise and train crews on the jobsite.
Ensure crew uniforms are worn properly along with PPE and other safety gear.
Ensure all site safety measures are followed.
Ensure crews finish work in a timely manner.
Ensure the job site is organized and clean at the end of the day.
Opportunity for bonuses when jobs are completed under budget and earlier than scheduled.
Accounting and Administration
Schedule mobilization for jobs, crews and meetings (based on direction from Owners).
Maintain organization of materials and equipment.
Take pictures of job progress and provide updates to management/client as needed.
Keep record of mileage for work truck.
Record hours worked by crews and report them to HR for payroll.
Collect expense receipts and delivery receipts.
Collect W9s and/or other paperwork from subcontractors as needed.
Qualifications Required
Ability to read construction drawings/plans
Demonstrated knowledge of BlueBeam software
Must be Bi-lingual (English & Spanish)
Good communication skills
Driver’s License
Reliable Transportation
Working cell phone
